This information is used to personalize your experience and associate your usage (e.g., story credits) with your account.

b. Mood Input (Text and Voice)

You can provide your current mood via:

• Text input
• Voice input (microphone access required)

Voice input is transcribed using Whisper AI, and the audio is not stored or retained beyond the transcription process.

c. Device and App Usage Data

We collect metadata associated with Google Sign-In using your device's native Google authentication system. No additional device information or analytics are collected at this time.

2. How We Store Your Data

Local Storage:

We store your generated stories and Text-to-Speech (TTS) audio files locally on your device for faster access and offline use.

Supabase (Remote Database):

We use Supabase to store your profile data (name, email, and unique ID) securely on our servers.

3. Permissions Used

• Microphone: Required for voice-based mood input.
• Internet Access: Required for Google authentication, Whisper AI transcription, and cloud sync via Supabase.

4. Data Sharing and Selling

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party.

We only share limited necessary data with:

• Google, for authentication
• Whisper AI, for transcribing voice input

These services are used solely to operate core features of the app.

5. Account and Data Deletion

Users are not required to manually create an account. A Google account is used to streamline the experience.

You may delete your stories directly from the app. If you wish to remove your profile data from our servers (Supabase), please contact us via email.

6. Children's Privacy

StoryCare is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
